Building Refurbishments

We have been involved in a variety of differing renovation and refurbishment projects of varying scales and styles. Every project is unique, but in each case we believe the most vital component is the relationship between us and the client. Our involvement in any project is to help you in every way possible, whether it is advising layouts and schemes, keeping work morale and dedication on site to its optimum or by alleviating your concerns. In order to achieve this, here are the basics of what to expect from us.

Initial Consultation & Proposal

Firstly, we would visit your property and/or look at any plans you may have already had drawn up to discuss the project you have in mind. This consultation normally lasts no more than a couple of hours, but is completely free of charge. If further consultation is required in advance of a proposal being suitable, we would charge an hourly rate. We will then write a proposal detailing fees, terms and conditions and sit back and await your response.

Approval of Proposal

Designs, costing, liaison with architects and builders and other required contractors commence at this point and we enter our project management role. Initial colour and furnishing schemes will also be considered at this stage, but may be altered later on.

Once designs have been signed off and any required approvals have been granted, regular site meetings and visits will keep clients well informed with progress and ensure the smooth running of the project. Final approval of furnishings and decorations will be given a deadline to make sure all orders and deliveries are met in line with the programme.

Completion of Work

Snagging and other issues will be dealt with in conjunction with the architect and main contractor to make certain the clients concerns are met. There is normally a standard defects period of either 6 or 12 months at which point defects will be met in the same manner.

Once the project has successfully been completed and snagged we will take time out with the client to ensure additional accessories, furniture and paintings are found to fill the gaps. We will always make ourselves available to our clients whether it is a year or 10 years after their project is completed and keep details on file for a 15 year period.
