Philosophy

With a wide variety and knowledge of styles and periods, Edge Interior Designs does not follow any fixed philosophy with projects, other than to promote the most appropriate look for the client and property we are working with. It is the client's decision to mix minimalism or accurate period detailing with Georgian architecture or clean modern living against a 14th Century thatched cottage, our job is to give ideas and choices as they fit and use the experience and project management skills we have along with the efforts of skilled workmen and specialists to make any concept succeed to an excellently executed project.

Interior Design is a very personal occupation and results are reflected in successfully presenting a client's desires, lifestyle and personality in their property. This can only happen when a close relationship between the client, design team, architects and various contractors and craftsmen exists. We see it as part of our role to make sure this relationship succeeds.

At Edge Interior Designs we undertake projects at any stage, but it is preferential for us  to be involved as early as possible. Being involved at the early stages of any project ensures designs are understood by all parties, from design to completion and can also save unnecessary costs through our experience and alterations that may be necessary if brought in later on in a project.

With good contacts to quality architects and craftsmen, specialist suppliers and artists and a selection of recommended contractors, we can manage and design for all types of projects from private residential to property developments for sale or rental, hotels to a simple room make over. We aim to meet all the needs of a modern world, but are just as happy to disappear into the past with a bit of old charm and character.
